ICELAND

AUTUMN/WINTER 2015

Inspired by the work of young german photographer Kristin Leske who went to Iceland for her diploma work for several weeks only with a tent and a really old car, I started to work with different fabric manipulations. I ended up with pleating leather in really tiny lines and nature translated prints. I want to translate the feeling I had after I got lost in this fascinating and artistic world of photographs and videos showing a totally different view of the iceland‘s nature.

I combined all these feelings and inspiratons with the work of my always beloved Madame Gres. Her way to use pleated fabric motivated me to interprete it for our days by drawing and draping to achieve the final design.
